Look After The Bees

This is part of an article from Silloth Bees from Vivian Russell. She has created the garden at Silloth Green, Cumbria:
These Collerette dahlias have been fabulous attracting bumblebees, honeybees, butterflies, hoverflies and the Silver Y moth flowering for 3 whole months! Last photo was of the hoverflies on November 1st.
I’m putting in another double row facing the benches and have been down to Jack’s plot in Milnthorpe to choose different varieties. If you’re interested in having some in your own garden, you can order via his website – jrg-dahlias.co.uk. BBC Gardener’s World paid him a visit in September
